After a decade as a graphic designer I discovered the joy of travel, which turned into six years of globetrotting before I finally settled into office life within the travel industry. Photography became a hobby that got out of hand during that time, so in the summer of 2015 I took a chance and turned my passion into a career. Today as a professional natural light photographer I shoot people and places, and teach street photography.
I receive regular commissions for urban photoshoots and have shot in excess of 270 clients; I’ve been on assignment to Japan for a travel industry client; and I am the founder and organizer of London’s best street photography Meetup group, Street Club (formerly known as London Street Photography), which is a growing community of over 1000 members, with a core of regular attendees who join me for afternoon workshops in London, days out around the UK and for weekend street photography workshops in Europe.
My street photography is very minimal – I seek out colour, geometry, shadows and frames, and I like to isolate individuals in what are often busy places. European cities inspire me most, probably because I allow myself the luxury of whole days wandering with my camera! I love the feeling of blending into the environment once I’m in “the zone” and there is nothing better than the buzz of nailing a candid shot without being noticed”.
