David Gibson has taken street photographs for more than thirty years and he is one of the founder members of UP Photographers (formerly In-Public) the international collective of street photographers. His work has been widely published in books such as Street Photography Now (2011) and the revised edition of Bystander: A History of Street Photography (2019).
David is known as a tutor and has led street photography workshops in London and other cities worldwide. Recent workshops have included Lisbon, Madrid and Los Angeles. He is also a writer on photography, so far he has written three books: The Street Photographer’s Manual (2014),100 Great Street Photographs (2017) and Street Photography: A History in 100 Iconic Images (2019).
