I always liked to imagine that things have another way round than what reality shows. To create a world of my own, where nothing is predetermined. Maybe as a wish to remain a child, I don’t know for sure. “Prismagination” is my first well put together project, on which I am still working. (I used a prism, these are not double exposures.)

Jeffrey De Keyser, Belgium

“Trauma” is an experimental black and white series, loosely based on and inspired by the surrealist masterpiece ‘Un Chien Andalou’ by Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dalí. The film is a cinematic exercise in free association, composed of seemingly random dream sequences, packed with emotions hiding in the darkest corners of our minds. Deeply influenced by psychoanalysis, the film is basically an exploration of trauma. My photos do not directly refer to particular scenes in the film, but they are my personal take on the themes, features, symbols and visuals behind it.

Spiros Loukopoulos, Denmark

“This is not a series”.

Wenpeng Lu, France

“Paris Street Scenes”.

Shah Toufiqur Rahman, Bangladesh

“Unusual Bangladesh.”

Gavin Robinson and Ben Burfitt, UK

A photo series of Speakers Corner London and a dog park in West London randomly matched together from 2 different photographers Gavin Robinson and Ben Burfitt. Shots are edited together from different times of their own series. The photographers did not know of each other before hand and met on Instagram. A collaboration that portrays humans acts of dogs.

Gustavo Rosas, Uruguay

The images are part of a street photography project about Montevideo called Shot.

Stavros Stamatiou, Greece

Series title: “A saucerful of secrets” Everything around us is full of magic, in its right time, under the proper light. And the magic is based on secrets; those that are hidden within things and those that are hidden inside us.

Vladimir Yavorov, Netherlands

“Caution, tape!” explores the usage of caution tape in my neighbourhood.

Yaroslav Zharkovsky, Ukraine

Kamianets-Podilskyi is one of the main tourist cities of Ukraine, one of the “Seven Wonders of Ukraine”. With a deep canyon around the city and an old fortress – this once important stronghold is now a provincial town. But if you know its history and the area the whole city can be perceived differently. One of these areas is “Microrayon”. A residential area built literally on the bones of Jews killed by the Nazis. Surrounded by Catholic, Orthodox, Greek Catholic and other Christian churches, which seem to be suppressing the evil done in this territory. The past seems to have left its mark on this area and its inhabitants. The locals know well where they live and this creates a special feeling after sunset. I am one of these residents.

Congratulations to all and good luck in the final!
