Ali Kate Cherkis will be one of our London photograph contests judges. Massachusetts-born photographer joins Sara Nicomedi and Guille Ibanez to form a three-piece judging panel.
We’ll present Ali Kate in her own words:
“I am a visual storyteller, collecting sounds, colors, and emotions. My photographs reflect my current state and provide a record of my environment. My themes tend to emerge from my day to day images— in that way they act as my diary. I’ll often have dreams or fantasies about scenes or images and keep those in my mind when I’m making photos, then they become part of the whole. I find my paths like this and they take me on a journey. If I’m lucky, that journey leads me somewhere weird”.
